Welcome to A story to tell’s inaugural blog boast! (Blog posts that unhumbly showcase the variety and quality of our work.)
In the past few months, we’ve helped three authors realise their dreams of self-publishing their first books and we’re proud to promote them here. You still have six shopping days before Christmas to select from one of these great titles. (See below.) Each author approached us at different stages of their manuscript’s development. We provided manuscript appraisals, structural editing advice and copy editing assistance, and many conversations along the way. Their feedback suggests that their work is all the better for our helping hand. Congratulations Yannick, Tommy and Gabrielle … so much emotion, thought and bum glue goes into writing a book. These authors have worked hard to bring their stories to the light.
All the best to you for a safe and restful (or safe and adventurous) festive season. Please join us in 2015 for more tips, a few prompts and maybe even a course or two.

The Current by Yannick Thoraval is a novel with a Pacific-sized premise that poses the question if we leave our home unattended, how can we expect it to care for us? If you’re interested in climate change, family or international relations, this is the one for you.
Just Went Out For Milk by Tommy Cotton is an unusual love story that sweeps across three continents. It’s graphic and doesn’t hold back from the issues that the author wanted to explore – love, loyalty and revenge.
Return to My Soul by Gabrielle Bergan is a heartfelt memoir about finding our place. It’s a quiet, insightful and reflective story that many people will relate to.
